Castle Waikiki Shore Beachfront

Hilton fireworks looked beautiful every Friday in the ocean-view room on the 12th floor. A guide in Japanese is also available, and you can collect garbage and change beach towels every day. The laundry facilities in the room were up to date and the dryer was very helpful with power. You can walk to the center of Waikiki, and of course have beach access, as well as Steak Shack and the Acai Bowl tropical tribe on the ground floor, so you can go in when it's available. The W line bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away, so I was able to get to the airport for $3.

We stayed at Waikiki Shore via Castle this time and it was a very disappointing stay. First of all, the check-in time was 3pm, but after the time had passed, the room was not ready, and we had to wait about an hour after being told that we would be in soon. And even though we had booked for five people, we didn't have blankets, bath towels, dishes, etc. for the number of people, and the facilities in the room didn't seem comfortable for five people. Even more surprising was the response of the security staff. I was using a short parking space for delivery to carry my luggage when I was alerted to the high-handed and intimidating manner. "When I wanted to talk to the manager, he responded in a way that made me yell, ""I'm the manager,"" which was very uncomfortable." I then consulted with the front desk, but they didn't seem willing to solve the problem. I was also sorry for the response at the checkout. The female staff at the front desk never made eye contact with each other, they just handled the paperwork, and there was no word on how the stay was. At least I couldn't feel hospitality or customer service. Waikiki Shore has a great location and views, but this stay was far from what we had hoped for due to a combination of issues including delayed check-in, lack of facilities and staff availability. We hope this will be helpful for those considering staying in the future.

Great location but an absolute scam based on the description. We were told we’d be getting a 2 bedroom, one with a king and one with 2 queen sized beds as well as a pull out sofa. We were also told it was a 2 bathroom. None of this was true. There was one king off of the living room with an accordion door, a pull out sofa 10’ away and a small bedroom with 2 separate twin beds. There was only one bathroom as well. Ruined our vacation as these sleeping arrangements did not meet the description nor our needs. Several other vacationers we met there had the same experience. Massive fraud in a great location.
