Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort Spa

If you’re aiming for a chill and quiet vacation, I recommend other hotels. However, if you are staying here, the Kalia Tower is the best place to book your room. Kalai has quiet, nicer rooms, with kitchenettes, adults only pool/hot tub, uber/lyft pickup at the tower rather than bus depot and check in here rather than long lines at main building.

Hawaii is beautiful and the trip was great. But focusing on the Hilton, I was left a bit disappointed. I spent several thousand and stayed a week so I expected a resort Hilton level experience. For example, instead of tons of concierge people, they don’t offer any service, no bar to get a nice cocktail, no breakfast or lunch or room service. I was envisioning a white robe sunset and room service- that didn’t happen. I envisioned being served a mai tai while laying on the beach - no service or private beach access. That didn’t happen. The amenities are open to public so they cram you in a tiny space and charge a ton while the public take over with large tents lined against the wall and they grill out all day playing loud music. Not resort like at all. Not even private beach access which was the biggest disappointment. We crammed in with the public all while paying huge daily resort fees. Elevators were broken so we walked 14 floors for multiple days or waiters over fifteen mins to catch the one working. Great location, but definitely not as luxurious or nice or fancy as I expected, not for a “Hilton.” Just tons of concierge people trying to sell you stuff. This is the most I’ve ever spent on a place and it was not great. I will be back to Hawaii but not here.

It was a fun resort to stay at. We stayed at the Rainbow tower Lagoon View room 506. I'd recommend lower rooms because the elevators are kinda slow. We had the flexibility to use the stairs down and up, which made getting to our room more quickly. Marylou, who serviced our room did an excellent job during our 4th of July week stay. One issue with the Lagoon view is it faces the green large lawn where events are held, so it gets very, very loud during Luaus and live band. I'd recommend the ocean view Rainbow tower rooms because on Fridays, you have a vantage view of the 5 min Fireworks show - worth it! Another downside of the Rainbow tower is no Starbucks, just a quick non-espresso serving pastry shop. The Ali'i tower is where I would stay next time because it's central to the great pool and all shops etc. Resort food is so overpriced, shop at ABC or other locals.
