Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush grounds, serene pathways, and a peaceful atmosphere that made every moment feel like a true escape. The staff was welcoming, the amenities were top‑notch, and the entire experience left us already excited to return. We can’t wait for our next visit.

As a loyal Hyatt guest, I found this flagship property to be an incredibly healing and relaxing place to unwind. The resort features expansive, immaculate grounds that are meticulously maintained, highlighting the talent of the landscaping team. The multi-level pool complex is fantastic, perfectly balancing the energy of the lazy river with the quiet serenity of the adult-only pool area. What really made the trip special was the staff. Across almost every department, employees exuded a refined and unique Kauaʻi style of aloha spirit that felt natural and unscripted. However, there is a real opportunity for the front desk to match that standard. Interactions there felt a bit too transactional and process-driven, missing the grounded, relationship-focused welcome found throughout the rest of the resort. Once you step away from the front desk, the property delivers a truly peaceful, restorative paradise.

Pictures do not do this resort justice. The outdoor areas, including the pools and lawns are exceptionally manicured, which create an ambience that is unforgettable. Housekeeping and room service was exceptionally fast and food was very good all around. You can tell that the hotel is a little dated as far as the interior corridors, carpets, style of room rooms. However, that would not stop us from returning again. It was just an observation. We traveled with our six-year-old son who took full advantage of all the pools. Although we did not participate, I was impressed with all the activity options that they had on a daily basis. The Hotel was sold out but because the property is so massive it really did not feel crowded. Counting down the days to be able to go back.
