Maui Vista

Unit 3203 was just ok for a couple although advertised for four people. Bathroom was too small for 4; kitchen was ok; condo overall was just adequate.

So we have stayed here before and reviewed before. I believe this is the 4th time me and my son have stayed at this property. We usually stay in a 1 bdrm condo that sleeps 4. This time we stayed in a loft on the 4th floor that slept 6. We brought 5. The actual unit was stayed in was lovely. I have never stayed in a condo with vaulted ceilings or a loft. So that was a new experience. It's location in conjunction to Charley Young beach is also amazing. This is our go to property in Kihei. But I haven't been there since 2018 so 6 yrs and the overall care of the property seems to be lacking a bit. Maybe it's more evident because I work in property management? But the whole place needs to be power washed. The Umbrellas out at the pool were sun faded and splitting, and there was a padlock on the tennis courts on Sat when there was no one in the office. I was disappointed by those things because they are vacation condos. So the owners are paying HOA dues specifically to have someone take care of those things so the property itself has it's best foot forward BECAUSE it's constantly got new people looking at it all the time. So I am not saying we won't be back. We probably will. But you should NEVER let guests see holey split umbrellas and concrete that makes people feel like they can't walk around the property barefoot.

The particular condo my husband and I stayed in was situated perfectly for us - within walking distance to the beach, bars, restaurants and quick drive to safeway or foodland. we have been to Maui many times before, and absolutely love the Kihei area. The condo complex itself has nice amenities: 3 pools, BBQ area, lots of parking. The only issue we had was with the noise from people staying there....our particular unit was near the entrance to the first building and everyone walking through there late at night or early in the morning didnt seem to realize how loud everything sounds inside the units (even with the windows closed). It would be nice if the quiet hours were enforced by the onsite security guard.
