Kauai Palms Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at this vintage hotel with an old-school local vibe. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially Lei, who was incredibly kind and supportive to a couple of friends in our group who got stuck on Kauai during Hurricane Lowell. The lobby/museum area is a unique highlight, filled with fascinating Kauai artifacts and folklore. And you’ll have plenty of chickens roaming around, plus the sweetest hotel cat, Mango! 🐓 🐈 The location is quiet and very convenient, just minutes from the airport and a great base for exploring the island. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for our group, with 1 king and 2 twin beds, a refrigerator, microwave, kitchenette, and good-sized bathroom. Free parking right outside our room was an added bonus. If you’re looking for a modern resort, this isn’t it. But if you appreciate charm, history, friendly service, and an authentic Kauai feel at an affordable price, this place is a gem! 🌴💚

Affordable hotel with old school vibe. Lovely friendly staff. The manager has an amazing collection of artifacts and folklore and will give a very interesting talk and tour. And lots of Kauai chickens with two adorable 🥰 hotel cats. Nice central location you can drive all over the island from here! Fun and funky!

This motel is in a quiet location. Although our room was small, it did have a refrigerator and a comfortable size bathroom. Easy parking right outside our room. Good complimentary coffee in the morning. And every staff person that we interacted with was super friendly and helpful!
