Honu Kai Bed & Breakfast

Honu Kai is a little oasis in Kailua-Kona. If you don’t mind a little driving, this is the perfect place for exploring the area. Just a 10-15 minute drive to shopping and restaurants. One night my husband and I bought a charcuterie and a bottle of wine at the grocery store and ate on the lanai. Our room was clean and even had air conditioning. Breakfast was served on the lanai each morning and always included fresh local fruit. For our beach trip there were chairs, umbrellas, towels, and snorkeling gear. After the beach, the lanai was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. They even had a fish pond.

We have stayed at a few BnBs in our travels and the wife thought this one th best pretty fast. it was the host, Amy who made the difference for me. she added value with info, hospitality, advice and general helpfulness. I cannot say enough to express our gratitude.

Great experience staying with Honu Kai! The rooms were exactly as pictured and the grounds were so well kept and beautiful. Amy was the most fabulous host who warmly welcomed us to the Big Island. She was exceptionally kind and thoughtful with all her recommendations. We will be recommending this place to friends!
