HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL & SUITES COEUR D ALENE I-90 EXIT 11

Please be careful! We had 3 different rooms for our family and all three, the bathtubs are dangerously slick! They will give you a bath mat if you call and ask for one. But you have to find out the hard way first after you get in. The towels also feel like sandpaper. However, they do have a “happy hour” where Greek yogurt, fresh fruits, berries, meat, cheese and crackers were served until 7pm. Nice touch. Rooms clean, beds comfy too. Spacious.

The staff here do an excellent job. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick, smooth, and efficient. Our room was ready ahead of schedule, which was especially appreciated after a long drive. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The bedding is excellent, and we particularly liked that the pillows are labeled by firmness, making it easy to find one that suits your preference. We slept soundly and enjoyed a quiet, restful night with no noise disturbances during our stay. Parking was convenient, and the location offers easy access to both downtown and the major highways. The fire pit area was a standout feature, and the complimentary s’mores kits and roasting sticks made for a fun family activity. One staff member even came outside to light the fire pit and bring us the supplies, which was a thoughtful touch and a great example of the hotel’s customer service. There is also a small indoor pool that appeared to be popular throughout the day. Breakfast was about what you’d expect from this type of hotel. It wasn’t particularly memorable, but it was perfectly adequate and comparable to what we’ve experienced at similar properties. The person managing the breakfast area was especially helpful and friendly, consistently making guests feel welcome. They clearly did an excellent job with the resources available, though the quality and selection of the food could likely be improved. The only aspect that felt somewhat dated was the television in the room, which was fairly small by current standards and appeared to be a holdover from the former Holiday Inn that occupied the site. Overall, this is a comfortable, well-managed hotel that delivered exactly what we were looking for. The combination of friendly service, clean accommodations, and thoughtful amenities made for an enjoyable stay, and we would gladly return in the future.

This is the second time that I have stayed here while in town, visiting family. This is a nice hotel, staff is friendly and the property is well maintained. Breakfast is pretty good, as is the evening meal they put out Monday thru Thursday. Oh, fresh ground coffee 24-7 and hot cookies in the evening are definitely a plus.
