Days Inn And Suites Casey

My husband and I were in town visiting relatives and it got late so we settled for the local Days Inn. In truth we can be a bit snobby when it comes to hotels (we don't need five star hotels but are particular about wanting something that's fairly polished). We were so surprised by how this Days Inn held up to what we are used to. Note that it is an older hotel but it is pretty clean. Also note that there is no elevator (as others have mentioned ) so if you can't use stairs then check for availability on the first floor. Our room backed up to the gas station/truck stop and I figured we'd hear trucks in the morning as they got going to the day but the white noise machine we travel with blocked that out.

The motel was very clean and well kept. The room was nice and clean. The only problem we had was when we went to our room the refrigerator door was standing wide open and the reason we found out was there was so much frost build up in the freezer that is prevented the door from closing enough to latch it. I went to the front desk & told them of problem and they switched us to the room beside it. It was nice too but when we opened that refrigerator door, it fell off! We managed to get it reattached and it worked ok from then on. When we told the staff about it the next day we were told they had a number of new refrigerators on order. The staff member who maintained the facility told us at breakfast that she had told them NOT to use our room the day before but apparently noone made note of it. She did tell us they had a number of new refrigerators on order. The staff was friendly and kind.
