Francis Marion Hotel

The historic features of the hotel and its location make it an ideal option for travelers. I cannot say enough about the catering and Swamp Fox restaurant's food variety and options. I strongly recommend choosing the Francis Marion hotel for a stay in Charleston!

The location was great in terms of proximity to activities around Charleston. We loved the farmers market across the street on Saturday morning and the close walk to the water. The hotel itself was beautiful and full of old southern charm. There were three of us sharing a room and we had plenty of space. It was a great value for what we paid. The room and hotel were very clean. A fun surprise was the Thursday and Friday night happy hour with champagne, cheese, and crackers. It gave us some time to relax in the hotel before our dinner plans.

The Francis Marion Hotel is in an excellent location - close to many attractions and wonderful restaurants. The hotel staff was very hospitable and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The only negative is that the bathroom was small, but being an older hotel, it did not distract from the ambience of the entire hotel
