Hilton Garden Inn Charleston Airport

After a long flight from Ireland to MCO we were diverted to Charleston due to weather at MCO. 3 hour on the tarmac waiting for instructions as to what they planned on doing with a plane full of people on an airline that doesn't have a presence in Charleston. No gate, no ground crew, no fuel. The airline finally put some of us up at the Hilton Garden Inn by the airport. We arrived to the hotel (two bus loads of tired passengers) and only one clerk trying desperately to check in 100+ people as quickly as humanly possible. One front desk clerk! She used two terminals to process the packed lobby after midnight always smiling and handling it all calmly. (Some passengers were not as gracious as she was) Jasmine B deserves an honorable mention for all her help. She was still smiling in the morning as we (my daughter and I) left to find our own way home, rather than wait hours more for Aer Lingus to figure out ground transportation. The manager should have come to help her out but she did it alone and with grace. The hotel was clean, well kept and conveniently located. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn and Jasmine.

The most outstanding part of our stay was the check in which set the tone and the next morning with Sheryl being our server at breakfast. Wonderful stay all around with a convenient location.

My Daughter had her wedding at Johns Island. So she picked this hotel for our family and friends to stay. It was about 50 or 60 of us. They were out of Connecticut. The first point of contact was Jasmin. For empathy and attention to detail was second to none. She had so much passion to make sure that everyone was taken care of and it didn’t go unnoticed. So many family members had complimented on how kind and professional she is. But there are some things that I feel could add a special touch. One is keeping a maintenance staff on even if it’s a holiday weekend. The lounge area was hot and the thermostat was reading off an error code that needed to be addressed. When you have that many people in there, it’s too hot. I also would recommend for the pool area to have some type of shade such as umbrellas. Also, having the buffet at $19.99 should be left at $9.99 with the continental breakfast, because it is very subpar. My family and friends had it one morning and then the very next morning they walked 100 yards into Wendy’s just to have breakfast.
