Clarion Midway Airport Hotel

I was at Holiday Inn on Friday and I find it funny that I was at the bar sitting exactly next to the general manager who was drinking and then she was at the front desk working, so now IHG hires drunks to manage the hotel? Is that how IHG do their business? That was very unprofessional and not a good look at all. The parking is $23 a night which is crazy especially in that area. It looks creepy and dirty. This front desk staff seem not to know how to do their jobs, I asked a question and they just stood there looking at me dazed and confused, I will never stay here again. IHG you all must take a look into who you hire.

I chose this hotel because of price, location near Midway Airport and information on website that indicated free airport transportation. Upon check-in I was informed the shuttle service started at 9am. However, I have an early morning flight and now I have to book an Uber which will end up costing @$25, plus tip. There is another Holiday Inn closer to the airport and within walking distance to more restaurants, with 24 hour shuttle service to the airport. I would advise to stay at a different, newer, nicer hotel with 24 hour shuttle service. This hotel is old, the room has bad odor, it is not located within walking distance to restaurants, and it located further away from the airport compared to other hotels in the area.

Can I rate negative? this place has security issue. while I was sleeping in the room a guy entered my room midnight . just imagine the horror that someone trying to enter your room midnight I am not sure with what intention. when I went to checkin counter to ask the same they are not even apologetic and saying it says on our end the room is not occupied on our system. then why did you wait till midnight 1am? we can mange everything but not security issue. I am going to spread my words everywhere so that people will be aware of this situation. I was so worried that I have to checkout of the hotel and check in somewhere else in the midnight. I am just worried how much it is safe for a women who is staying there single. mind you there is card on door which says come back later as well at least for what ever the reason they are telling me.
