Doubletree Hotel Chicago/Schaumburg

Disgusting! No one should ever have to stay somewhere under these conditions. I found two bugs in my hotel room and recorded videos of both. I immediately reported the issue to the staff and spoke with the manager, Roxanna. She told me that she would have my points returned and, after pest control inspected the room, that I would receive a refund. I have been trying to reach Roxanna for the past two weeks, but she is never available and has not followed through with what she promised regarding my compensation. This entire experience has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I expected the hotel to take this matter seriously and make things right, but unfortunately, they have not. I’m still waiting on a return phone call her management who seems to be dodging my calls!!! Highly disappointed

Absolutely disgusting establishment! The Health Department needs to come and do a sweep on this property. There was mold on the pillows! My husband went to the front desk and the attendant said there was nothing they could do because the Hotel Manager was not on site. This property is run down, dirty, and disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE! I love staying at Hilton Properties but this site does not represent the corporation well.

Happened to stay the one night Hilton's entire global check-in system was down. Staff managed well, though we never got a key and had to be walked back to our room everytime we left. Lots of stress on a very young staff. Hotel itself is meh. It was clean, though quite dated. Not nearly enough electrical outlets. Ice machine on our floor was broken (working one was two floors below). Only one of two elevators was working. I had no issues with parking. There are a ton of spaces all around the hotel. Location is good if you want to shop at Woodfield, Ikea, etc. Would potentially stay again if the price was right, but it would not be my first pick.
