Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Magnificent Mile

The room was fine. You want and need a high floor due to sirens. Can’t avoid the sirens due to fire house so close by. The reason for the poor review is for the lack of ownership about miscommunicating Diamond benefits at Check in, mispricing items at the kiosk, and then not owning the issue and arguing with me about the prices. I have been a Diamond member the last several years, Gold prior to that. I will be moving to Marriott branded hotels.

The Hilton Garden Inn was a wonderful place for our family to stay. It was clean, amenities were great, service was excellent, and it was centrally located. It was a short walk to the cafes, eateries, and restaurants we visited. It is literally across the street from a mall, Starbucks, around the corner from CVS, and an amazing cafe called Goddess and the Baker. It's a 5-8 minute walk from the famous Frontera Grill (chef Rick Bayless), which was some of the best food we have ever experienced! It's within a 10-15 minute walk to Lake Michigan, the river and Riverwalk, Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago. It's quiet for being downtown, too. The cost of the stay was well worth it!

Never stay at this property. I had to cancel a reservation due to a family death and it was up to the hotel whether they refunded me or not and they decided to charge me over $300. I’ve heard this place has terrible customer service and it was proven to be firsthand.
