Indigo Hotel Chicago

We came into the city for a White Sox game. We only stayed one night but the staff was friendly, room was clean and hotel was convenient to the Red Line. We hope to come back for a little longer stay.

We decided to still give this place a try. Previous reviews were pretty spot on! 1. Great location! 2. Lobby was VERY dark! We checked in around 9pm. I felt like I was walking into the Continental in a John Wick movie! 3. The parking garage is SCARY! I’ve been in some tight Chicago garages, but this one is terrible. The garage elevator did not work. When we found the stairs, SCARY! Made us feel like we weren’t supposed to be in that stairwell. 4. The hallways smelled like smoking was allowed a long time ago. 5. The AC! Oh my! The AC unit rattled the ENTIRE time we were in the room. Seems like the vent wasn’t strong enough for the amount of air blowing out. The room was definitely cool, just loud. 6. The room was decent, but dim. If you require lots of light, bring one! The lighting is low wattage. 7. The bathroom toilet was very low! A previous review stated the same and they were accurate. And the bathroom is TIGHT!!! 8. The bed was a little firm, which I liked, but I know some people don’t. 9. By morning, the lobby was much brighter and more vibrant. 10. It’s a pet friendly hotel…even just sitting in the lobby and not always quiet!

Room was musty and no offer to do anything was given until the day after telling them. It smelled so bad that you could taste it. Only 1 ice machine in the whole hotel. Only restaurant is all sushi. Mold in the shower. I would not stay here by choice ever. I had Uber bring air freshener as it was so bad. One of my teammates had dogfood on the floor of her freshly cleaned room and also had to change another night as the fire alarm went off for no reason. My CPAP still smells like this nasty smelling hotel room even after multiple cleanings.
