Decatur Conference Center And Hotel

The hotel room was okay, beds were hard, no TV channel guide, the guide on the remote didn't work. Not enough towels, toliet paper, tissues. No maid service. Breakfast was decent, except grounds in the decaf. We were there for weekend conference at the hotel. The food they served us was horrible! First we were told that we would eat in the hotel restaurant they changed it to the conference room across the hall. The meals Definitely were NOT worth what we paid for them! The first night was dry chicken breast with a spicey seasoning, overcooked veggies, dry rosemary potatoes, hard rolls, and a salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce. The exact same lunch both days - a hard thick sub roll, very thin ham and turkey slices, cheese, purple onions, tomatoes that were butchered not sliced, iceberg, Ruffles potato chips, chocolate chip cookie, a small old apple. The best part of all three meals was the pickle slices.

Our room was large, clean, there was an onsite restaurant open in the evenings and a free breakfast buffet. We would stay here again!

This hotel has the potential to be a beautiful hotel. The hallways, lobby, and rooms were clean. However, the hotel needs a major update…inside and outside…bathroom, plumbing, bedding, room and hall decorations, hospitality, staffing, outdoor appeal, etc.
