Sleep Inn Lansing

This place is an embarrassment to the choice brand of hotels. First off the carpet in the hallways is the worst I’ve seen I stay in hotels for work close to 300 nights a year and this is about as bad as it gets. Also I got a king room which came with one towel and two small pillows. I went to the front desk and asked for another pillow or two and was told absolutely not. The parking lot is covered in trash and people smoking directly outside the front entrance. Avoid this place!!

The light switch by the door didn't work. Paint peeling in the bathroom. Security lock bar broken. Urine splashes on the bathroom wall, spit stains on the wall of bedroom. Paper thon walls, i could hear the hairdryer in our room from down the hall by the elevator. Hallway carpet wrinkled. I can't even begin to comment on the lobby sign.

Good hotel. Enjoyed the room chosen for me. The carpet needs to be updated. Room was clean. A/C and heat worked well. Bed was comfy, but pillows were horrible. Cable selection was decent. Of course, breakfast was grab-n-go due to COVID. But the selections were good: microwave biscuits and oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. Quiet area. Nice staff. All amenities in room were operable. Not too far from restaurants and shopping. I recommend a room near the stairs away from the elevators, if possible. Easy access to your room & no noise from elevator traffic.
