Comfort Inn (Mt. Vernon)

Dirty, AC didn’t work. TV has lines through it. Hot tub wasn’t working. Honestly spend a little more and stay somewhere that values “quality”

I rarely have found myself in the position to deliver such a negative review, but unfortunately my stay here was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. There is absolutely nothing quality like with this quality inn. When I arrived, I was assisted by a seemingly new member of staff. He was wearing unkept tshirt while the other employee had a quality inn logo shirt. Not really a big deal but shows a lack of professionalism. When we tried to use the hot tub we learned it was not operational. We then decided to switch rooms and when doing so we accidentally left a phone charger in the wall. We attempted to get it back but were told it wasn’t there. Obviously my word against there’s but I know it was left in the room. The wifi didn’t work the entire time. They seemed unapologetic. And finally there were some extremely loud guests who partied till 3am. Worst night ever. Perhaps the worst part is indifference the staff seemed to have over our concerns.

This is the first time writing a review. It is 11:30pm and I’m still here. Wide awake and annoyed so might as well write this now. There is a semi truck parked behind the hotel right outside my window that has been IDLING for at least the past 2 hours. It can be louder than the AC unit, then pretty quiet, then loud again. I’ve called the front desk 3 times. First he was going to check into it. Next he claimed there was no one registered with the truck. (That’s because they are IN the truck!) Then he said they had checked and no one in it. Then why is it allowed to idle? Isn’t that ILLEGAL? Anyway, I finally called the local PD and they will hopefully swing by. Lesson learned to ask for a room at thr front! The room itself is clean and okay. And things are quiet otherwise.
