Baymont Inn and Suites Geneseo

Booked king with jetted tub through Chase Travel for romantic getaway. Hotel refused to honor the price Chase had on their sitee. Email confirmation looked good but itinerary section said it was a handicap room. I called the hotel and Chase almost daily for 6 days prior to our Saturday stay and finally they agreed I’d pay the difference at hotel but that my whirlpool room was being held in my name. Of course they gave it to someone else who booked it on Friday. Water was so cold in the shower (at midnight) couldn’t take it. Super hot at the sink. Breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had a BW. Bed was lumpy. TV was a C- There was no ceiling fan in our room. Ventilation system was either freezing or no air movement. We needed to be in Bishop Hill before 9am or I would have walked out and stayed in the Quad Cities. If you’re thinking about staying here, I can’t recommend it

Dirty stinky rooms, and stains on towls and bed sheets. Breakfast was cold and not appealing.

This property met most expectations for a Best Western. It looks older but everything is well kept and updated. A good bed and our room had all the expected amenities. Nice pool, nice fitness area. Nice breakfast area though selections were fewer than expected. TV access and watch ability is somewhat limited. Perfect location close to freeway with multiple eating choices within a short walk. Will stay again if in the area.
