A Holiday Inn Express doesn’t need to compete with full-service hotels by offering luxury amenities, restaurants, or elaborate facilities. Guests choose this brand because they expect a clean, comfortable, and reliable stay. That makes cleanliness the single most important aspect of the experience—and it should be impeccable. Unfortunately, this property fell well short of that basic expectation. Both the guest rooms and common areas lacked the level of cleanliness that should be standard for any hotel, especially one in the IHG family. When a property doesn’t offer extensive amenities, it has an opportunity to distinguish itself through spotless accommodations, attentive housekeeping, and pride in maintaining the facility. That’s where a Holiday Inn Express should truly shine. If a hotel cannot consistently deliver on something as fundamental as cleanliness, it’s difficult to justify choosing it over the competition. At that point, the experience begins to feel no different from staying at a budget motel, which is certainly not the standard guests expect from an IHG brand.

The place needs a good cleaning! The breakfast buffet was old and cold. I believe we paid extra for it.

I hate I had to give them 1 star. . The pictures tell it all. Apparently, only a few rooms look like this. I had other family staying at the hotel. Their rooms were smelly and outdated but it was not as horrible as room 410. I asked to be moved and there werent rooms available. I asked for a refund to move to a different hotel but the manager wasnt available until the next day. We had a weekend full of scheduled activities as we were there for a reunion. The hotel was so disgusting. Especially the bathroom.
