I am pretty surprised at some of the reviews I have seen for this hotel - it seems like people were expecting a Hilton for $60-70 a night. If you want the most up to date amenities go pay $200 a night and you can have them. The room was clean, quite, and bed was comfortable, for $72 a night that is all I expect of a hotel. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating (I arrived early and they allowed me to check in early without issue.) which is more than you sometimes get at this price point. Was the decor dated, yes. Was the maintenance poor, yes. But again, what do you expect for this cheap? Contrary to what some reviews have stated I saw no signs of bugs, and while there were maintenance issues none of them seemed to be safety related at all - it was things like peeling paint. This isn't the place I would stay if I was going on a vacation with the family. But for a quick night's stay when I am in and out of town quickly for business and don't want to spend a ton it was perfect.

Super great King bed! The location is perfect for downtown Springfield, IL and my husband and I think that the staff are top notch! Go there if you're in Springfield Illinois! We could walk around the City Center and go to the Lincoln Presidential Museum.

Motel that does not reach the sufficiency. Poor cleaning and a low standard room between furniture and carpet.. the lights turn on with difficulty.. Noisy air conditioning.. the train is a constant background noise.. Friendly staff.
