Holiday Inn Evansville Airport

This is a good hotel that has a very typical Hampton feel to it — comfortable rooms and bed, good breakfast, and a great staff. We were traveling on interstate 64, and there were no other Hiltons on that route, so we had to use this one, which is somewhat out of the way.

I had high expectations given the high ratings but was disappointed on a number of fronts... Mostly circumstantial but wasn't impressed and regret my decision not to stay at the DoubleTree. First, the 3rd floor hallway was like an icecube!! At most 60° if not colder! When I brought it up to the front desk personnel they said "you should have been here last week, it was so hot!" Yeah I get it but tell me what you're doing about it. The AC in the room was so noisy... Did I report it? No. Why is it up to me to report these types of things? This didn't happen between myself and the last guest. Housekeeping should have reported it. The shower water pressure was non existent. Now... On the positive side, the front desk staff were extremely friendly! The breakfast offerings were good.. biscuits, sausage, and (watery) eggs. No gravy but at least everything tasted good! The room and hotel were very clean but mechanically needs some help.

I was welcomed by Jennie at the front desk upon arrival and she was the epitome of hospitality service. I felt like I would be staying with family during my week-long business trip. She took the time to inform me of a ‘brown bag breakfast’ that is available to early risers that leave before breakfast!! (Thx, Jennie). While chatting with Jennie ‘Family’, I received a ‘welcome serenade’ by Alicia!! Great place!! Great stay!! This is my forever Evansville hotel thanks to these two!!
