Ramada Indianapolis East

This hotel just doesn’t cut it. It’s in a great location, but it houses the wrong clientele. There were undercover escorts, people screaming at each other and one front desk staff member said they’re family so that’s how they communicate. Beyond that, the shower was horrible, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. They didn’t even have a breakfast for the price they asked for. I’d stay in the area again but NOT this hotel and I don’t recommend it to anyone else for that reason!

While the staff of this hotel tried their best to make our stay pleasant, the area and age of this hotel make it very unpleasant. The hotel is extremely rundown. The air conditioning still doesn’t work (refer to previous reviews). The room windows open, but there are no screens. The hallways and front staircase STINK. The extra lock in the room wasn’t in good working order. I didn’t see much in the hotel that was updated.

I do not recommend booking your stay here. I saw the same attractive photos you did and was lured in by the low price. It was only on the day of my trip that I actually read other people's reviews on Google and learned that this place requires a $200 deposit--which they only accept in cash. I thought, "That can't be right." So I called the hotel. The phone rang and rang. No answering service. I hit the road and had to call four times over several hours before someone finally answered. To be fair, the man who answered was very polite. I asked if it was true they required a $200 cash deposit to stay at the Rodeway. He informed me that yes, that is true. I asked why that hadn't been mentioned anywhere online or in my confirmation e-mail, and he didn't have an answer. It felt very fishy. If they don't even tell me upfront I have to pay a deposit, how can I trust I'll get that money back? So I canceled my reservation. The man on the phone said they could refund my money, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm going to have to follow up with them. Please don't stay here. Ethical businesses don't operate this way. There are plenty of other motels in Indianapolis that will be transparent and honest with you. This is not one of them.
