To be fair, I don’t think I realized I was booking a cheap motel where you park in front of the room instead of entering a main a lobby area and making your way to a room. That said, this place was a big disappointment and we wouldn’t stay here again. When people describe this place as “vintage” that’s a really classy way of saying it is old and desperately needs renovation. Small examples: Tub trip lever was missing so there was a big hole there. Some type of ancient heater in the bathroom without a safety plate on and heat coil complete exposed. No plugs near bed for charging anything. Wall AC that turns on and off every 5-10 minutes. It gets really cold when on and then gets warm quickly when off. Just sheets and a bed cover and no blanket? Found a hair on the toilet and a hair by the sink. The smell was musty/smokey (despite the no smoking sign). The breakfast contained coffee, orange juice, cereal and little Debbie cakes. Better than nothing but not even close to a cheap hotel like a low level Marriott, Hilton, best western, etc. I’d rather drive 45 minutes to Purdue and stay elsewhere than here again. The only thing this place has is proximity to Purdue. I don’t need a JW Marriott. A Spring Hill suites is fine, or a Hilton garden inn. Just give me a place that has been renovated in the past 10 years, is fairly clean and safe with a charging port near the bed. And with preferably a bed that has some level of firmness. The bed here was almost hammock like. No thanks.

The big Takeaway from this motel is the value. Super nice people running a vintage motor Lodge. It was clean, it was safe, and it was a perfect place to lay our head after a long drive. Is this a superduper 5 star resort… Absolutely not but remember what you paid. It is a wonderful family run business who truly cares about its patrons. I would definitely stay here again if we were filming in the area. 👍

We stayed here for my graduation from Purdue Global held on Purdue University campus. Motels around here are crazy expensive especially with the Kentucky derby being the same weekend. This Inn was affordable and close to campus without all the traffic headaches. The Inn is older but with that comes charm. The staff were super friendly even exchanging out the iron in our room because it has stuff melted on it. Plenty of hot water to shower, working fridge and microwave. Bed was comfy and the A/C was cold!! Uber picked us up at the office and would not come to our room doors, just FYI.
