Quality Inn & Suites

Talk about a hidden gem. This hotel is amazing. Even more amazing is affordability. You get a great room for a great price. Very clean. Staff is out of their way friendly and helpful. We had a brief stop on a long trip. Just pulled in to check it out and FINALLY something went right on this trip, after a long day with a series of misfortunate events. The beds are comfy, rooms are clean and breakfast is above and beyond.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. I saw it was the top rated value hotel in Ottumwa, so I thought it would be a nice place. It was ok, but not what I consider "nice". The outside is worn and tired looking, the parking lot lot in disrepair. It doesn't look very inviting from the outside. Inside was better and the room was fair, but I did have two light bulbs which needed replacing. One was about as bright as a candle and the other one flickered. The shower door base was moldy or maybe just not clean looking, and the toilet seat was very loose. The floor next to the bed was sticky although it looked clean. A lot of little things which add up to a less than average rating! The name Quality should mean something, but it didn't quite make it here.

Quality Inn's are not my regular choice, but this one was close to my destination so ZI stayed. Good choice, better than other Quality Inn's. Rooms are in renovation stage, I was assigned a room already updated. It was very pleasant. Other than some noise from neighbors upstairs, it was a good stay.
