A friend suggested this as a last-minute, affordable place to stay. They had never stayed there. They just researched it.
Check In: Friendly and quick. The room had what looked like new carpet. Big screen TV. Small refrigerator. Microwave. Two beds. A table. Comfortable room. I worked a lot from it.
The bathroom was clean, had really good shower pressure and hot water.
One Issue: I am short yet I still had to bow my head to wash it in the shower. If you're over 5'5" or very tall, it would have been a big annoyance for you. Not sure if all the rooms are like that though.
Surrounding the motel is a busy gas station and a road by it that people peel out and drive fast. One night there was a late night extended period of time that some goofballs getting gas played loud bass.
There is a bowling alley by the South side of the motel. Employees hang outside a lot on break and talk loud or curse at times.
Now, for the big, big, big issue: This place is freakishly loud with constant door slamming, like bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, in the hallways and the two doors (North and South) at the West entrance.
I'm talking a steady stream of bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. It's absurd. I'm in my 50s and I've never experienced anything like it.
The doors don't shut quietly. I had to pull mine slowly forward when I left the room so I wasn't inconsiderate like other people. Most people are not going to do that so, so don't expect it. It's not happening.
The door slamming went on until 2 or 3 am every night (I booked for a week and had no car to find another place to stay). It starts back up around 7 or 7:30. Good luck sleeping a full night. Brutal.
If not for that, I would have given this place a 5 star rating for what it was for a budget motel. But it gets a 2 for the lack of reasonable peace.

When we saw the price, we just assumed it would be a disaster. It was NOT! We got a restful night's sleep & a good shower, & started our next day of travel with a smile. While the place is pet-friendly, there's not much grass available for dog-walking. Other than that, we were comfortable & had no concerns at all. Thanks to the owners/staff of this place for keeping the price low so travelers on a budget can still get a good night's sleep.

Hotel Newton – this hotel is nothing to look at but I had a great sleep here last night nonetheless!!! It’s a cheapo place but if all I’m doing is sleeping, it’s just fine! Check in went well but it was old-fashioned. The put my card through an old-fashioned reader and then I had to sign a whole lot of lines asking all about me. There are two floors and the first is in the basement. There are not very many outlets for my devices and the ones they have are hard to get to. There were 3 pillows on the bed of varying hardness. There is a nice room AC as it was over 100 degrees at check in. The closet is out in the open but lots of hangers. There is a frig, micro, and a safe!!!!! (the safe is cool!!!). Two tables to work on and a nice TV. Two nights at about $55 per night. No noise to speak of…..just hot!!!!!
