Motel 6 Pratt, KS

There was an intense and terrible odor throughout the hotel. The room smelled of Stale cigarettes/Musty/mold and bug spray. When I checked in I could see an industrial fan in the hallway so I assumed there had been a flood by the front desk. My room was around back so I’d hoped it would be better. It was not. My mother and I opened the door and realized the odor was making us nauseous and ill. We checked out and stayed elsewhere. The mgr would not refund our money even though we were only there 5 minutes. It was also filthy. I’ve travelled extensively and stayed in some dives, this one ranks as one of the worst.

Boutique it is not! Old motel, bathroom not remodeled, thin small towels, wafer thin soap bars, old furniture, swimming pool full of concrete, exterior needs paint. Bed was pretty good, newer chairs in room. Room was clean. Price was great…$50

I have stayed in a number of different varieties of hotels, motels and Inns throughout my life span and paid big dollars to very little amounts. This place not only is one of the most affordable stays I've encountered, but is also the most comfortable and welcoming places i have ever been to. I say this, because Amy, who is the manager & and lives on the property, takes great pride and care in this place and for her guests and staff. Their pricing is here is unbelievably affordable, rooms are well kept, well maintained and the entire building as well. I am very grateful for her and for her amazing housekeepers. Thank you for being awesome.
