Best Western Danville Inn

When walking into the Red Roof hotel, the staff was friendly. However, the room I was given smelled so horribly that it made me feel ill. I had to check out immediately.

Horrible TV reception. Insufficient towels in room for scheduled guests. Tub was not secure - moved when stepped in. Door security lock was hanging by one screw. Zero breakfast and coffee this morning. Left to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Check-in staff was nice. Seemed fairly quiet. Expected it to be recently upgraded but didn't see much evidence of that. Not a pleasant stay.

The hotel price is on the lower end of hotels in the area. That being said I would rate the hotel equal to motels that charge half what I paid. The room is in serious need of remodeling. The ceiling over the bed had water stains and cracked drywall. The toilet did not always flush. The drain in the shower was plugged and took a long time to empty. Some electric outlets did not work. The free hot breakfast was egg beaters or waffles and advertised as available from 7:30 to 9:3, but was always gone by 8. The food was first come first served. My room was cleaned on Saturday and not cleaned again until Wednesday, 5 days later. I had to get towels from the front desk. Sometimes the towels looked like they weren't washed. They were badly stained or dirty (see picture). I was very disappointed in the hotel.
