HOLIDAY INN HURSTBOURNE I-64 EAST

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Louisville East - Hurstbourne expecting a clean and comfortable room, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the hotel was dated and had an unpleasant odor. The room felt damp. The sheets and carpet were noticeably damp to the touch, and there was a musty odor that made the room uncomfortable. We reported the issue to the front desk. They offered to change the sheets, but that didn’t address the damp carpet or the smell throughout the room. We were hoping for either a different room or another solution since the condition of the room affected our stay. There were no other rooms available and they would not provide a room at another IHG hotel.

Unexpected circumstances arose and staff and management could care less. Front desk staff tried to treat us like we were completely ignorant. Even our 17 year old was like "Wow" that was unreal. Dont stay here. There are so many nice hotels near with caring staff.

This was our last stay at this hotel! My crew and I have been coming here for 6yrs but we won’t be back after this time. We work on the railroad and had multiple rooms like usual. Apparently the hotel is under new management and we could tell! Here is a list of problems: 1– Hotel manager kept interrupting the girl at the front desk while she was trying to check us in. 2- We get 6 floors up just to have to turn around because our keys didn’t work. 3-4 of the rooms weren’t cleaned and beds not even made. 4- Then to top off the entire stay, the new manager had made new hours and days for the bar/restaurant! Apparently they’re now closed every Sunday and close every night at 9pm!! 5- Worst of all is that out guys couldn’t even eat at the bar because the manager no longer lets the bar accept cash!! So 17 of us went to Brownies!! What is wrong with the owners hiring this guy?? We’ve been through two other GM changes and nothing like this! They actually appreciated the business! Not this guy! We won’t be back and neither will two other railroad groups once I tell them about this. This is ridiculous!!! Such a shame! First time I’ve EVER called IHG corporate about a hotel!
