HAMPTON INN AND SUITES PORT ALLEN

Appreciate all the great reviews given, but this won't be one of them unfortunately. First off, rolling carts were pretty filthy. We did NOT want to put our luggage on it. In the room, pullout sofa's mattress had a pretty big stain on the upper corner. Was it blood? Was it chocolate milk? Was it coffee? I don't know, but it was gross and stain seemed to be on mattress for a while now. Bath mat had a couple of "ahem" hairs on it, and my 7 year old child was the first to shower and use mat! So.....figure that one out, lol. There was a crusty brown black thing roughly the size of a quarter smashed into carpet. Yucky. It's been removed (you're welcome future guest 😄). Carpet felt gritty too. Room was maintained at bare minimum, it seems like. I'm a reasonable person and understand some things will be overlooked or not prioritized. My family have stayed at Hampton multiple times, and we've had great experiences. In this instance, we couldn't wait to leave. Thankfully it was a 1 night stay.

Consistent with quality that I have come to expect from Hampton. Two minor things were not up to par. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh but lukewarm. Room was nicely arranged, clean and comfortable. No directions for tv channels made it frustrating for searching for weather reports . We were in the middle of heavy rains and local flooding. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We appreciate the efforts your employees make to make our visit first class.

We were disappointed in the quality of this hotel. In general, it was clean and the staff was friendly. The a/c unit was noisy, and though the fan was in auto it remained on all the time. We finally had to turn it completely off because of the noise. The shade let in significant light from the parking lot. The bathroom needs sprucing up - the baseboards have separated from the tile, and the shower door needed extra attention to completely close. Annoyingly, the shampoo container was totally empty.
