Hotel St.Marie French Quarter

The location is great! You are right in the thick of the French Quater! The atmosphere is very friendly and a great vibe! I would suggest walking instead of driving because the streets are very narrow and sometimes closed off with foot traffic everywhere, so wear some good shoes! Our room was excellent with a balcony over the pool! The price was very good, they do charge for valet a day so take that into account and it was $50 a day with a $100 deposit for incidental on your room. I would HIGHLY recommend using the valet because New Orleans is beautiful but you have to beware of your surroundings. Our room was amazing and very clean! You are in the heart of the action so it is noisy as you get closer to Bourbon Street. I will DEFINITELY recommend to my friends and family and we are planning on returning soon! Great hotel with great history!! Incredible experiences we had!

amazing location and such helpful friendly staff

The Hotel St. Marie was recommended to us by our son and his girlfriend who had stayed at the hotel earlier in the year. It is located in the French Quarter a block off of Bourbon Street, which is a benefit because it is close to everything yet much quieter. The hotel is an updated old hotel so it is comfortable and attractive inside and out, including the swimming pool in the courtyard. Our stay was enhanced by the wonderful staff. In particular, Betsy and Richie at the front desk were not only friendly and professional, but helped us choose and make reservations for tours. They also recommended restaurants based on the foods we wanted to eat. Our stay at the Hotel St. Marie was great and I would not hesitate to stay there again. In fact, if a future trip brings us to New Orleans, it is where we will be staying.
