Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center

I picked Atlantic Oceanside for our first stay in Bar Harbor to be close to town and to Acadia without being right in the middle of crowds. The hotel delivered in that respect . Overlooking Frenchman bay it has a nice location . Our room was in the more modern building by the outdoor pool. The room was clean and in good shape with a small balcony view of the ocean. While the hotel was full and very busy it was still pleasant. Staff were very helpful and nice. While I would not call it a luxury hotel, the stay was solid for the price and certainly nicer than many in the adjacent area. The breakfast included with the cost of the room was generous and good. If you went into town for breakfast each day you would easily pay $50 per couple plus parking, so a bountiful breakfast was much appreciated. Also the front desk hosts were helpful and cheerful when we asked for help on directions. The local bus also comes to this hotel on a regular basis and was a great option for going into town especially if you wanted to have a few drinks. The only real downside, was that the hallway carpets in our building were in need a real cleaning. Stains throughout detracted from this otherwise nice hotel.

This was a lovely place to stay, amazing view, nice to be close to downtown Bar Harbor but not in the middle of the crowds and noise. The room was excellent. Comfy beds, pretty design, and spacious.

The hotel was excellent. Activities, clean, helpful/friendly staff, great food, fantastic location...if I had any complaints, it would be that it was a little pricy, but we came at peak season.
