This is a very nice hotel in a perfect downtown Bar Harbor location. The room was big, clean, and comfortable, and the staff was wonderful. They have an excellent continental breakfast as well.

Lovely! This is a wonderful location with exceptional service! A welcoming front porch with rockers, chairs, and available blankets greets you. Umbrellas, walking sticks, and board games are available to borrow, along with a water filling station near reception. The breakfast is incredible and kept well stocked with all the goodies. The daily fruit and cheese, the yogurt bar, the rotating hot foods and baked goods, make for a great start to the day. The coffee and tea bar is available at all times, along with fruit infused water. The afternoons bring sweet treats on the side board. Bar Harbor Grand Hotel is in a location that can't be beat with wonderful food, shopping, and scenery located just outside the door. A wonderful spot to explore the town of Bar Harbor! The staff are friendly and happy! Very helpful and kind--old world service and hospitality. As someone that has decades of hospitality experience, I am particular about the service. It was impeccable. Thank you all!

My sister and I stayed 3 nights, and couldn't have been more pleased with the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel! From the pleasant & helpful front desk hosts to the details, i.e. cookies & fruit infused water in the lobby, a generous continental breakfast (including gluten free options) and thoughtful extras like umbrellas, binoculars and walking sticks to borrow made for a very nice experience. The location was super convenient to the shops and many restaurants along Main Street yet quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!
