AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN

Booked online for one night. Got a reasonable rate. Later booked another night in the office, charged me $30 more. The online rate is their site, not a third party. I should have booked online for the second night. They wouldn't budge on the price. No housekeeping the second day. I'm an easy customer. Don't leave a mess. No noise. Room is nothing to rave about. Bathroom is very small, door sticks to the toilet when you open or close it. I'm on business and need a desk. No desk. Had to use the folding luggage rack for my computer. Lights in the room not adequate. All the outlets were worn out so charging devices or using anything electric was difficult because they won't stay plugged in. No ice. I work outside, have to have ice for water and lunch. No coffee maker in the room. Refrigerator very small, about 24" cube. Needless to say, I won't be back. Should have stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn Express.

Upon reaching the property and taking one look at it I immediately wanted to change my stay to one night. I requested that of the from office and was rudely told no. Upon a sleepless night- curtains did nothing to block out the bright outside light which shined directly on the bed, a loud wall heater kicked in randomly waking me up as the room vacillated between freezing cold and boiling hot. Also my room was by the stairs and I could hear people banging their luggage up and down when I was trying to sleep. Simple maintenance is also neglected as the paint in the bathroom was peeling off the walls - see photo. I would not choose to stay here if you are looking for a place to actually sleep.
