The Thistle Inn

Highly recommend a restaurant. The food is delicious. Staff, friendly and professional.

We are very happy with the Thistle Inn. We stayed in the Sherman zwicker room on the second floor. The place is a little old but it was clean and had charm. The bathroom has been upgraded and had everything needed. It’s great that the rooms are all named after old schooners along the Maine coast. Although there is no one on site, the manager was very responsive and responded immediately to text messages sent to the number for the Inn(not the restaurant). We did not get an email with the check in info, but they sent it right away by text. The restaurant is excellent.

Contact less check in Was supposed to receive an email with codes. Who knew No one to contact Called two different numbers waited over half hour finally went into a restaurant and they were able to contact someone who never called just sent a text code. Funny how we knew who to send it to. Got in room. Cracked wall Chips in ceilings Window air conditioner is covered by drapes so you can’t turn on the air and cool off the room unless you open the drapes which overlook the walkway in front of the restaurant because we’re ground level. Closet is less than 12 inches wide Place stinks light switches in bathroom are behind door. This place is a “Gem” of a dump. It needs complete overhaul with staff that can be contacted. No place to ask any questions Have to park across the street If I could get my $$ back I would leave Certified not worth over 400 for 2 nights
