The Inn At Brunswick Station

We spent one night at the Brunswick Hotel. It was rainy, so we didn't get out to explore the area, but it seems like it is in a great location for dining options. They do have an on premises restaurant which we did not use. The parking near the lobby / registration area is limited, but they have more parking at the bottom of their property with a door that you can enter easily for access to the building and your vehicle. They have sturdy luggage carts that manuever well. If you've ever used a janky one, you'll appreciate these cadillacs! Check in turned out okay as the lady who assigns rooms realized at check-in that we had specifically requested a no pets room. She had to swap us around with someone else but was able to work it out pretty quickly. (The other guest had not yet arrived.) The hotel does not have an ice machine for guest use, but you can get small bags of ice from the reception desk. The room was comfortable and clean, but it wasn't quite as luxurious as I had expected it might be for the price we were paying. We had a standard king room.

We checked in on a Sunday. Our room was nice, although the woman wasn't even sure if she had one available despite the fact we had a reservation. That worked ou though, because she did. We paid for the breakfast package so our breakfast was included. The hotel advertised breakfast from 7am-10am. We showed up at 9am on a Monday morning. There was one girl working a room full of people. I order coffee and water and waited for 15 minute. In the meantime I flagged her down so we could order and said we need to leave at 9:50 for an appt. At 9:45 I went to the hostess stand to settle the bill as I thought we would have to leave without our food. At 9:48 our food was served. It looked like my food could have fallen off the plate and then hastily scooped back on it. There was a mess everywhere-french toast and blueberry compote all over the plate. One of the sausages had a small slice of brown strawberry wrapped around it. I couldn't eat it based on looks alone. My daughter had one bite of her food and we left. Really disappointing and a complete last of acknowledgement of the situation.

Recently renovated and very clean. Great location downtown.
