I was unsure about this hotel as a woman traveling alone, but the price was good, so I booked it. I had a room with a private bath in the hallway, which turned out to be fine. I was concerned it would be uncomfortable walking down the hall to my bathroom, but the bath was right next door to my room and had a locked door that required my room key to open. The hotel supplied robes in the room in case I needed to get up in the night. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The decor is so cute and vintage, I loved the look of the flowered wall paper. It's not a "fancy" hotel, but has such a warm feeling to it, I prefer it over a sterile cold hotel. The continental breakfast was fantastic! It included much more than the standard stuff you get at most places. Yogurt, juice, bagels, english muffins, cereal, 3 kinds of coffee, teas, and more. The only struggle I had was carrying my heavy suitcase up the staircase (there is no elevator), however, the staff was so nice, I could have asked for help and I know someone would have assisted me getting up the stairs. I have to give a shout-out to the little wine/cocktail/small bites restaurant next door. I went there every evening and had a glass of wine sitting at the bar reading a book, it was a comfortable place for a woman traveling alone.

A funny but surprisingly good inn for the value. The room was clean and quiet, although the bed was a little small. The separate shared bathroom may bother some but it worked fine for us. There is a quaint vibe and friendly staff. It’s in a great location too, and there is breakfast included. The ac worked and the tv was updated.

It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to stay for the weekend in Portland. It was cozy, clean, and everyone was super friendly. Would definitely go back again!
