The Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport Hotel

Very central in Maine Mall Staff very good and hotel food good Would recommend staying there and we will stay there again in a few months

The check in agent, Hope, well as the general manager, Adam , went out of their way to make life easier for me. Unforgettable service for someone traveling after a spine procedure. I watched Hope’s patience with a disgruntled guest as well. And they were busy but so well organized-impressive teamwork. When the General manager sees you struggling with your cane and bags so he parks your car for you in the bitter cold- you know you’ve chosen the right place to stay. Made every effort to help me in so many little ways - I was close to tears. The rate was competitive with hotels that were not nearly as nice. Room was spotless. Note: I chose this facility because I remembered the way I was treated on previous visits when I didn’t need assistance.

The only good thing about this hotel is proximity to the airport. Too many things were inoperable or broken, including the entry into the rooms. A lot of us had the same problem in that our keys didn't work unless you beat on the door out of frustration. Cleaniness was subpar, housekeeping was subpar, maintenance was subpar, food was expensive and dreadful. One positive is that the staff was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but they could only do so much.
