Embassy Suites Baltimore Downtown

Clean room but VERY dated bathroom, scratched cabinetry and the shower looked like it may have been painted over mold. The biggest issue was the breakfast buffet. It was very busy with kids serving themselves, touching food, and the serving utensils/area looked unclean with food residue. It seemed understaffed and not well maintained. I didn’t feel comfortable eating there and had to eat out every day, which was disappointing since breakfast is why I usually choose Embassy Suites. I’ve had much better experiences at other locations. Front desk staff was very nice, but the elevators smelled like marijuana daily, which also took away from the stay. Overall, disappointing experience.

We stayed at this great hotel at the Baltimore airport so we could visit nearby Washington DC. We had never been to either city before. We had planned to take the train to DC but really weren’t sure how to go about doing that. Our hotel shuttle driver Anna was so helpful and patient. She made sure we were right where we needed to be.

Our employer made the hotel reservations for a conference at the convention center. The hotel is surprisingly large. It offers valet parking, a complimentary breakfast and nightly happy hour. It also has a Starbucks. The room was quiet, large and clean. The only trouble I encountered was turning the water on in the shower! (You have to pull the handle out very hard.) The hotel is a further walk to the Inner Harbor than other hotels. Beware that the walk back from the Inner Harbor is four blocks uphill!
