Comfort Inn Capitol Heights

Recently I was amazed and truly enjoyed my stay at the Home2 Suites Capitol Heights Washington DC and the Value Beyond Belief!! The hotel has a clean, fresh atmosphere that immediately put me at ease from the moment I arrived, the hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and ready to help with a SMILE The room was large, comfortable, as well as a great place to sleep, eat, and relax, and felt like a home away from home, with thoughtful touches that made my extended stay even more enjoyable, with kitchen facilities that felt like a mini apartment, along with free Wi-Fi, expanded Complimentary Breakfast of open faced breakfast sandwiches, boiled eggs, breads and pastry items, cereals, yogurt, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, along with flavored water, on-site laundry, outdoor grills, a gym, and a heated indoor heated pool The next time that you are looking for a welcoming place to rest while visiting Capitol Heights Washington DC and Prince Georges County Maryland area, the Home2 Suites Capitol Heights Washington DC is a wonderful choice

Well, I read reviews sadly the night b/4 we were going to this location. I tried to cancel & move to another hotel, but even after an hour on the phone, Country Inn & Suites could do nothing for me-just suggest I call if I get there, have an awful experience, tell the hotel & THEN if hotel doesn't "fix it" call back. Kind of a joke. But, I must say the positive: the staff at the hotel was very nice. Very accommodating. We were on the 2nd floor. The carpet in the room was actually vacuumed, but atrociously stained. If cleaned, most would've come out, so that's gross. Bathroom was fairly clean. Bedding/sheets, etc, seemed to be clean and fine. Didn't find any bugs (other than one dead one smashed on back of the room door). Breakfast-we stayed 2 nights, but never ate anything there as it was sad/ridiculous. They don't even put all the chairs down as they know not many will eat anything. Needed a 3rd set of towels (they only put out 2 sets, even tho we had reservation for 3), and a hair dryer, and a toilet paper - staff was very kind and accommodating. Our 2nd night, we left for dinner - it was dark out - and we were parked close to front door. I saw a creature in the shrubs out front as it scampered away from my headlights...I wanted to see what it was, and another creature came from close to the front doors - and they were large RATS! OMGosh. It freaked me out, mostly cause the dang things could've just run right in the front door. I know there's rats in cities, but come on. Get a better service to kill them. Thankfully, we saw no rats/mise/bugs in the hotel or in our room. Also, shower was nice-albeit very short - but great pressure. Would not stay here again. I've never stayed at a Country Inn & Suites that was this NOT up to par. Neighborhood was totally fine. Near a Home Depot, good location actually.

This is a good hotel the staff are very helpful especially Kenny at the front desk he's always making sure your stay is comfortable. The hotel is close to restaurants within walking distance and close to public transportation the area is very quiet
