Comfort Inn

So this motel is like the worst in Columbia ms just go to the one next to it! So when we walked in the room it was clean but the smell was horrible! Also I noticed that under the sink there was chewed up brown gum!😱 Then the pool sign said that the maximum depth is 5 feet umm no it’s not bc we are 4”11 and 5 feet and we could touch! There was also sand in the pool eww!💩 It feels like a sauna 🧖‍♀️. Now don’t get me started on the breakfast. 🧇 When we got there they barely had any food left! So I got a waffle and my friend did too there was only 2 left. So somebody else wanted one.He went to the desk clerk and she said “let me see” in a mean voice! Also like their orange juice is soooo sour. Then when we went to pool people were there who weren’t even staying and it’s a rule you can’t use it unless you are staying and the clerk didn’t even care. They’re also looks like there was vomit on the mattress. The mattress had springs all in it, and I have to sleep with a spring in my back and there was literally nobody there. This is why I wouldn’t stay at CIS Columbia Inn suites! Ok so we (the person who wrote the review up there) stayed together there, it was TERRIBLE!!!!!! And none of it had to do with the people there, it was just the room and the service. But the mattress was SOOOO bad it had springs coming out of it and so I couldn’t sleep because it hurt to bad to lay down so I tried to sleep on the other side and that didn’t work but then I tried the floor and it was so uncomfortable so then I played in the bathtub!! It was more comfortable than I thought but I had the worst sleep of my life. I was kinda hating on it when we go there because there was only 1 worker doing ,cleaning, serving, and checking us in. But I walked into the room and I smelt something and it was like moldy mildew and I looked around and it wasn’t the inside causing it ,what was causing it was the ground was yellow and smelt like someone had peed on it but our window had stuff all over it and the worker kept going out and 🚬. But then in the morning me and my friend tried the coffee and IT WAS T E R R I B L E TERRIBLE!!!!! It tasted like the styrofoam cup, then I tried eating some cereal and the milk was expired I almost puked 🤮!!!!! But the toaster wasn’t working so we said ma’am does the toaster work and she gave the stank eye to us and went I DON’T KNOW so then the waffles were cold and soggy. Also we went to the pool and it was the same size from the shallow end to the deep end and I hit my head 3 times from just jumping in. Last we were going to hop in the “ jacuzzi” but the “hot” water was worse than sink water and the cold water had more pressure than the hot so we ended up taking a cold bath. I’m not hating on the workers I’m just saying my opinion and giving yall some stuff to fix. And also PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF JESUS get some different mattresses maybe like have different rooms for the kids like the good mattresses and then for the grown ups you don’t need the good mattresses.

Now called Columbia Inn & Suites. If you want big, soft, fluffy towels... Bring your own. I normally read reviews before booking, but this was the only hotel in Columbia that was listed on Hotels.com. I won’t make that mistake again. Although, my room didn't look nearly as bad as some of the other reviews. The A/C worked. It actually looked like a new unit. There is an indoor pool that appeared to be heated. The room has a jacuzzi tub, if you're the type of person who takes baths in hotels. The room was very dark, with dark colored walls, floors, and bedspread. There were 2 dim lamps. There was no sheer curtain on the window, just the black-out curtain, so in order to let light in, you have to let everyone walking by look into your room. The bed was not comfortable. The room was not cleaned well. The toilet bowl had a pink ring at the water line. SECURITY ISSUES: The desk agent announced the room number when giving the keys to the guest. There was a notebook on the counter with guest names and room numbers listed.

This place is one step above a dump. They can get away with such a low quality facility because they're the only motel in Columbia. This also allows them to charge 3 times what the same type of property in a nearby city would charge. Next time, I'll stay in Hattiesburg (about 25 miles away); the time/cost of driving is more than made up for by a better property up the highway and at a much lower price. I had mold in the room, a broken tub fixture, a half-working A/C, and noises all night by ? berserkers? And the Desk seemed oblivious to my complaints.
