This old style hotel turned out to be a very pleasant surprise because we needed a place for our dog, and this was the only motel offered. First of all the check-in office with spotless. The check-in was simple. The room turn out to be just as spotless and clean and nicely furnished as one could ask. The value was exceptional.

Filthy hotel room & terrible customer service. Bathroom wasn’t clean at all. Pee left in the toilet, toilet seat was left up, dirt in the bathtub, floor wasn’t swept and dead mosquitos / bugs on the floor. Mysterious liquids sprayed on the head boards. After 20 minutes of being in the room we couldn’t breathe dude to the mold and mildew. We decided to leave and ask for a refund but unfortunately the management are total scam artist. Don’t waste your time booking a night here. Even if you have pictures of how disgusting the room is, they will refuse a refund. The management won’t even let you explain yourself and constantly interrupt you saying “everyone has different opinions on cleanliness”. I think after seeing the pictures everyone in the world would agree this is unacceptable. Their way of making it right was offering a 25% refund on $111 or 50% off for our next stay. 25% refund to a room we didn’t even stay in is a joke. DONT STAY HERE!

This is the 4th time I've stayed here. I was hoping things would be better this time after the fiasco with billing on my last trip, but I was disappointed. The room was old, but OK, except for the small liquor bottle still in the trash can from a previous persons stay and minor crumbs under the bedside table. So, I would have to say the housekeeping staff is not doing that great. The bed was clean and didn't find any bugs. There used to be a small selection for breakfast (cereal, fruit, coffee and maybe yogurt) but now they have done away with even that. Just coffee now. They HAVE been slowly (very slowly) renovating, but I was told the roof in one section has to be replaced due to age and tree damage before they continue with the other rooms. (I noticed that pretty much the whole roof in that one section was covered with tarps when I was leaving.) The staff IS friendly, but that only goes so far. I stayed here all these times because the price was budget friendly and the original reviews didn't seem all that bad compared to some of the other motels in the area. It is still budget friendly, but there is a limit to how much you're willing to forgo for a nights stay. Unfortunately, for me, this stay reached that limit. I will be staying elsewhere for my future trips to where I grew up. If you only want a shower and a bed for the night and don't want to pay a fortune for that- this might be the place for you.
