The Dunes Motel

Love this place, convenient and close to the beach and friendly staff. I gave 4 stars because all though this was a great place there was a black guy that I witnessed stealing tons of items early In the morning. Like dude had dropped a few rolls of toilet paper rolls and picked them up and threw big black bag into the back of his white truck. Please watch out for this guy who knows what he will steal from you.

This seems far removed from the posting on Expedia. For $300+ a night, we expected more. First, there is very limited parking. We had drive in circles for quite a while until a spot opened up…100 yards from the building. I am handicapped, so that was problematic. There is ONE handicapped spot. We had to make half a dozen trips to the car in order to bring all our stuff in. The building is quite dated with peeling paint and some crumbling concrete. The room is okay except for the bathroom. Tiny sink, no shelves to place toiletries. The hot water faucet handle rattled around like it’s ready to fall off. There is no direct access to the beach. You have to wind your way around to a walkway, and then walk along a fence for about fifty to sixty yards to get to an opening in the fence. That lets you walk back to the dune crossing. The balcony view is great. If that is what you’re looking for despite all the above, then this place is for you.

Resort was great, but the cleaning crew stole from us, went into our room before we checked out took our cooler, left our food on bed, took the tip. Then lied to us and management about until supervisor did a computer check to see who last used key card and it was the lying girl.
