The Stowaway Grand Hotel

Horrible customer service especially their onsite manager Carlos. The front desk girl I’ll give her a pass because she was clearly high as a kite on the job but Carlos was so stoned faced I thought he might actually be on mushrooms

This is on the Northside for the boardwalk just a few streets from the end. It has a nice collection of shops. They have several restaurants but we didn't eat at any. We stayed one other time and ate at the coffee shop I remember it being decent. We had a partial Oceanview room but it was nice because you could also see into town. I will post pictures of the view. The room it's self was clean and well cared for. We were staying during the week during off season so somethings weren't open or very limited. I do not recommend the arcade on the 2nd floor games ate the credits a few times and it's mostly claw machines. I don't believe the indoor pool is heated so it was quite cold the end of September. Staff was friendly enough and it wasn't busy so they did spread the rooms out which is nice. This is our second stay and would not hesitate to stay again. Parking is $10 a night which they just started recently. Weekday off season was insanely cheap the rooms are spacious. The only issue we had is you had to slam the door to get it to lock and the bathroom door was extremely squeaky.

Truly awful Customer Service. A nor’easter hit the area the same day that we were arriving and it was unsafe for us to continue our trip. The National Weather Service had issued Coastal Flood Warnings, High Wind Warnings, and High Surf Advisories. The streets were quite literally underwater. Despite all of this, the hotel refuses to fully refund us. I would highly advise anyone against booking here, as the hotel is located on the shore and is likely to experience similar weather/flooding conditions in the future, and you will not be refunded.
