My stay was amazing! Ziggy on the front desk was awesome!

I had no idea I’d booked the Interactive Family Package, but what an experience. The evening began with Queue Simulator 2026. Arriving after 10 pm, we spent around 20 minutes watching the hotel’s lone receptionist wrestle with a guest disputing charges from what appeared to be a previous century. It was comforting to know the entire operation rested on the shoulders of one exhausted employee. Eventually we received our room key and were immediately promoted to Housekeeping. The sofa bed for our children had been left in its natural, folded state with no bedding. After a return trip to reception to collect sheets, we enjoyed the hotel’s complimentary Build Your Own Bed activity. Nothing says “welcome” after 17 hours of travelling quite like making your own bed. Then came breakfast. Despite booking a “with Breakfast” rate for four registered guests, we were informed the children weren’t included because of a “recent policy change.” Strangely, this policy appears to possess Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak, as it wasn’t visible when we booked. The response from reception suggested this was entirely normal and not worth discussing or for that matter their problem, but in fact my own! The punchline? Rather than pay for the buffet, we ordered the children’s breakfasts from the menu instead. They were cheaper than the buffet, looked considerably better, and the kids actually enjoyed them. Congratulations on creating an argument that saved us money. As an IHG One Rewards Gold Elite member, I expected hospitality. Instead, I received a crash course in queueing, housekeeping, contract interpretation, and strategic breakfast purchasing. I wonder if I were a lower tiered member, if I would have to volunteer my first born as tribute to the IHG overlords. Bravo. I haven’t laughed this much since I made my own bed.

Decent hotel, great location for us while visiting family on the south and north shore. Easy to get on main interchange to airport or to Boston. Scoreboard sports bar attached so easy to get a quick meal and breakfast had a nice spread. Room was not serviced the first night then noticed on the reverse side of the Do Not Disturb has a request to service room. Never asked if this was necessary as we asked the front desk the next day to be sure our room was serviced.
