The hotel is beautiful and a great location. My room was lovely and the staff was very pleasant. The only issue is the elevator. One was down and only one running and the wait was at least 10 minutes every single time. Numerous times we had to wait since the elevators are small, for another one to arrive, which took quite a bit of time. I would definitely call to check beforehand to make sure the elevators are both up and running.

I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Vacation Club Custom House. From the moment I arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and my room on the 8th floor had fantastic views over Quincy Market and beyond. Honestly, I can only imagine how impressive the higher floors must be. Speaking of...a big highlight is the complimentary viewing deck at the very top of the building. You can take the elevator up and walk the full perimeter for 360-degree views of Boston, the harbor and downtown. There is even a restroom up there, which makes it extra convenient. Shortly after I settled into my room, the front desk actually called to check if everything was okay. In all my years of traveling, that has never happened to me before, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The location is excellent. Blue Bikes are close by, public transport is nearby, and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Quincy Market is less than five minutes away, and the North End and Little Italy are about a ten-minute walk. Staff across the board were fantastic. The reception team always greeted me when heading out or returning, and housekeeping was friendly, thorough and clearly took pride in their work. The room was extremely clean, and I had zero noise from outside. One small heads-up: if you are not a Marriott Vacation Club owner, you may be invited to attend a presentation of about 90 minutes. I politely declined and had no issues at all, but it is worth knowing in advance. All in all, a truly great stay and a place I would happily return to. Amazing value.

We had a lovely stay at the Custom House. The 2 room suite was spacious, with a comfortable bedroom and living area. There are only 4 suites per floor so it was quiet. Despite being a very cold January weekend, we were able to get out on the observation deck, which gives you a gorgeous view of Boston in every direction. Upon check-in we were greeted warmly, and it was smooth. We opted to valet park, which is $56/day. There are other garages nearby but we didn’t want to deal with it. Bathrooms are well appointed with plenty of towels. You can request bathrobes if you want one. The location is so convenient and in walking distance to everything! You are near the Financial District, Waterfront, North End, Faneuil Hall, plenty of restaurants. They have a pay-continental breakfast, which offers limited and not a lot of fresh options. For $16 I was able to purchase a light breakfast for two of us. Coffee and Tea are free downstairs and in the room. Free breakfast is not offered for Bonvoy Elite Members. If you want a hot breakfast or brunch, you will need to go outside the hotel. There is a very nice gym, and an activity center for families, which we don’t use. The building is historic with some interesting artifacts, and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning some time.
