Minotel Chandler Inn

In town for business. Very “pineapplie”. Rooms were clean. Marketing is very interesting. Kudos on taking an old hotel and making it something people will talk about. Gabe was most helpful. And he promised to send me a magnet when it became available.

We stayed at Staypineapple Boston for two nights and spent about $900. Every front desk clerk we dealt with was kind and helpful. We loved having access to bikes, which let us see so much of Boston, and appreciated the complimentary drink coupon. Unfortunately, a strong sewer-gas smell in the bathroom overshadowed our stay. We were on the fifth floor, and the odor seemed to come from the shower drain. The room and bathroom were both tiny, we could hardly stay in the bathroom for more than a couple of minutes. We reported the problem, and the staff had someone check the room, but we weren’t able to move. Covering the shower drain with a towel and leaving the window open while we were out helped only a little. I’ve since seen other reviews describing a similar sewer-gas smell, which makes this especially disappointing. The clerk removed the $29 nightly amenity fee. We appreciated the gesture, although we hadn’t realized that fee would be charged in the first place. The staff and bikes were wonderful, but I can’t recommend the hotel or see myself staying there again.

Totally weird hotel but it works for us! The funniest little decorations and modifications but it all came together so nicely and was much more affordable than many other options. We had fun exploring the innovative space solutions. The bedding was very very nice, room was clean, and we have no complaints. Weird is sometimes just what you need to make you smile. We will be back.
