Beacon Inn 1750

I never write reviews, but this was so bad, it warranted one. First of all, this is not a bed and breakfast. It is more like a boarding house or youth hostel. The breakfast was basically little individual boxes of brand name sugary cereals and bad Keurig coffee. The toilet in our room barely functioned. We literally had to pour water into the tank with a paper cup to get it to flush. The blinds were broken and filthy. The bath mats were filthy. The mattress was so saggy I had to move all night just to find a spot of stability. The towels are terrible and so cheap. Upon arrival, they took our car keys in case they had to move our car. When we went to checkout, no one was there to return our keys to us. We waited for over two hours for that. If I had to give a positive or two it would be that there were no bedbugs and the location is good. Run away from this place. It was terrible.

It’s an adorable place. Very cozy and very old Boston (Brookline). Excellent rates and very conveniently located. The staff are very nice.

Beacon Inn was exactly what I needed for my short trip to Boston. The T was a little bit confusing but Jean at the front desk helped me understand it!
