FAIRFIELD INN BOSTON DEDHAM

What a joke. Canceled reservation to house migrants because the State has no limits on pricing. They give them free food and shelter and citizens including veterans do;t have a place to stay and reduces overall rooms in the area so price goes up. What a joke. Greedy hotel housing undocumented migrants, 235 elm st is Fairfield Marriott. Never stay with them.

I booked three rooms (in February!) for my fathers 80th Birthday party on September 23. . Family traveled from afar to attended . Boston area hotels book up quickly and they are expensive. I received an email on SEPTEMBER 13 that my rooms were CANCELED. NO explanation/instructions or offer to help re book. I called the hotel directly and a man told me that all reservations were canceled. “The cancellation is to house the migrants “. “The state took us over” The state doesn’t “take over “ with out an agreement from the hotel. I called Marriot Bonvey and they re booked me in another hotel and I had to pay more !!!! No reply from Marriot. No reply from the Fairfield Inn. No apologies (although they said I received an apology in email which I did not). I can’t believe the poor way in which this hotel and Marriot hotels treated us and the very bad position they put us in. And then blamed the state. So our taxes are paying for the higher end hotels for migrants AND I had to pay more myself for my family to have housing. This is crazy.

I work in this industry.. your room cleanliness depends on the employee. Someone definitely needs to check over work after seeing other reviews on here. Our room was VERY clean. Upsetting the pool was closed. The ice machines need to for sure be fixed. More towels/soap in room would be helpful for everyone. I agree the hallways don’t smell the best. It is too expensive a night for the issues but our room was amazing.
