Found this facility to be in rough shape. My room had a new bathroom mirror and crown molding, but everything else was clearly battered—cracked lampshades, chipped paint all over, missing section of bathroom counter. There was not even a plastic cup in the room for water. The extra $150 I was charged as a damage deposit makes sense—who normally stays there?!? In addition, my room was on the driveway side of the building. I could not figure out how to access the marina tent area from inside. The next day I realized I could not access the front desk from my wing either—no signage!!!!! Despite having prepaid two nights, I changed my plans and departed after one night. Never again.

I am trying to visit all 50 states. For some reason, I missed Rhode Island! This was a chance for me to check off that state and have a good friend visit Fall River, her father’s hometown. Seaport Resort and Marina was a perfect place to tie up for our destinations. It is a beautiful and peaceful location with harbor views. There is also a very clean indoor pool with pool towels supplied in your room. We found our room incredibly clean and comfortable. Although our stay did not include breakfast, there was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker so a quick trip to a nearby market did the trick. There is also a Dunkin right across the bridge with great breakfast selections. If you are there at the end of the week, there is an outdoor bar with live music. For dinner there is an Indian restaurant on the premises and several other excellent restaurants nearby with fresh local seafood. I would say that it is reasonably priced for the quality. Having “docked” in many hotels on my 50 state mission, anchoring here ranks near the top!

This was a girls trip. We enjoyed the nightly bands, bar, and local restaurants. Room was very reasonably priced.
