The Seaside Inn

This place is horrific we booked it months ago. We showed up at the day of our vacation with them telling us that our reservation was wrong. They didn’t even care that we didn’t have another place to stay. They told us that it was our problem because we booked it online through another place, but the other place we booked it through kept telling us that it was correct With what we had for information but the guy was really rude and did not care and now it just happened again while we’re here the next day this is absolutely ridiculous. People book their vacation so they have a place to stay and then now this place doesn’t even care. They’re so disorganized it’s not even funny. Nobody knows what they’re doing here . management sucks.

We arrived check in went well. Clear instructions. In the room, the toilet pan was loose, safe, not working, remote not working . To be fair, these problems were fixed. The cracked sink and no rod to adjust blinds was not fixed. 2 days in, we wanted a change of towels. We left towels in the shower as the sign in the room said. We returned from a day out, no towels exchange. Messaged, but there ard no staff on at all from late afternoon. the following afternoon, a lady came and asked how things were, and we said what happened. She gave us fresh towels and a sign for the door to use when we wanted an exchange again she also said she would change the bedding as we were staying for 7 days, which she duely did. After another couple of days, we put out the sign to request towel exchange, went away for the day came back no fresh towels, again messaged but nothing done as I assume there is no one there. Then there were issues with construction work, which was never mentioned prior to our stay. 7am hammering was not appreciated. The white noise from the air conditioning unit couldn't mask that. I get the impression that once you ha e paid , they don't really care very much. It would be an ok place for one or maybe two nights but not a place for a holiday stay.

Great location, clean but not fancy. Very comfortable. Busy parking lot but each room has an assigned space and the lot is monitored. Very nice staff. Has attached bar/restaurant and is across the street from a nice little beach. Fairly easy walk to ferry (10 minutes) and downtown (20 minutes)
